The ACM Programming Contest World Finals were held from March 12th to 15th in Tokyo, Japan. This year, 88 teams qualified for theWorld Finals out of more than 6,099 teams from 82 countries which competed in regional contests worldwide in 2006. The South Pacific Region was represented in the World Finals by University of Adelaide, University of New South Wales and University of Auckland.

Thanks to IBM, the event sponsors, who provide the accommodation, food and activities that make the World Finals such an experience for the teams.
